Springtime in Portland
Crabapple trees in front of Three Sisters on Madison exploding. Love the rich crabapple pink against the house.
Blueberries, Greens & Working Remotely
Transplanted a couple blueberry bushes after years in a parking strip and they finally bore more than a handful of berries. Potatoes are still my favorite crop to plant (less finicky if they're not watered), but salad greens are definitely a delight to harvest daily. When the weather cooperates and I need to do a deep watering for new shrubs, there's nothing like working on my computer at the picnic table in the backyard.
Mushroom, Weeds & Buds
On the east coast winter has been brutal: ice, snow, and tornados. Here in the west we've had a mild winter. The buds are coming out on the trees, and the mushrooms are mingling with the weeds. I'll take the weeds.

Fall Bounty
Never knew we'd have so much with potatoes. Between potato salad and Jeff's french fries we couldn't get enough organic: red, Yukon, and Huckleberry. Next year we'll plant more.
Lesson learned. The potatoes overpower anything around it. Plant the scallions, leeks, and chives far away.
