We enjoyed our stay here very much. There is no better location for exploring Portland - great bus access - walking distance to so much - neat neighborhood. Its been fun to walk and watch spring beginning to pop out - crocuses, daffodils, etc.

As I started my relocation to Portland I knew I was going to need temporary housing. I quickly found Hawthorne Guest House. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the photos and description of the unit and knew that I had to see the place. Upon walking into the apartment I was struck at just how beautiful it was. It looks just like the photos..and it felt like a “mini home”. It was just what I was looking for. I stayed at the unit for 6 weeks while I found permanent housing and was sad to leave my new found cozy home away from home. I would not hesitate to recommend the Hawthorne Guest House.

Rolf & I loved our visit & the Guest House was perfect! You have thought of everything to make your guests feel welcome & comfortable. We loved your place. It is clean, quiet (very important for us) close to lots of stores, and places to eat. it is also very easy to care for, as we get very busy with our family when out there! Also, a place with a washer and dryer, is a must for us.
We are hoping to stay healthy, and able to visit next year again!

As Digital Nomads/Web Developers, the Hawthorne Guest House was exactly what we needed.  Short term, fully furnished, complete with mixer and food processor! Loved being able to take advantage of all the nearby groceries/local produce to make some yummy gourmet meals. We also loved the extra touches such as snacks, fruit, and robes on arrival.  Jeff and Beth certainly made it feel more like a hotel stay than just another apartment and it was a great value too. 

If you are looking for the quintessential Portland experience in a historic neighborhood within an easy walk or bus ride to anywhere, then Hawthorne Guest House is it!  You'll fall in love with Portland, like we did.
